How Does the Pop Satire of Music and Lyrics (2007) Hold up 15 years Later? W/ Scott Interrante of This is the Greatest Song I've Ever Heard In My Entire Life
Ryan and Nicole welcome Scott Interrante from the This is the Greatest Song I've Ever Heard In My Entire Life Podcast to talk about the soundtrack to the 2007 Marc Lawrence film, Music and Lyrics. The soundtrack contains a ton of original music, mostly from Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne, Ivy) and Andrew Wyatt (Miike Snow), 2 veterans of writing songs for fake artists in movies. Clive Lawrence is also credited for writing the song "Dance with Me Tonight" and while Clive is Marc's son, his start in the music industry is pretty amazing despite the nepotism.
Ryan, Nicole and Scott discuss
- Does the film hold up 15 years later?
- Are these Wham! parody songs any good?
- What's with the fat jokes?
- Does anyone remember Pop Up Video?
